The vest is warm and tight - perfect over a dress or shirt. It has an ease of 5 cm, it has a folded neckband and a wide rib hem at the waist. It is a project which is knitted fast with a gauge (tension) of 12 stitches x 17 rows per 10 x 10 cm (approx. 4 x 4 inches) on 8 mm needles.
It is named after Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) - mathematician and often regarded as the world's first computer programmer.
The vest is knitted in a blow yarn (Lily, Infinity Hearts (100m/50g)) combined with 2 threads of randomly changing colours of silk mohair (210m/25g). For this model, with a bust measurement of 88 cm (+5cm ease) and a back length of 40 cm excluding the neckband, the following yarn was used: 3 skeins of Lily in the colour 02 and silk mohair in 4 colours (white, red, purple and pink). The rib egdes are knitted with a silk mohair in a colour that resembles the base thread to create some calmness as a contrast to all the colours.
The vest is knitted top down. The pattern is adjusted to your measurements. The pattern is in English and will be sent as a pdf file to your e-mail.
