I wanted a versatile sweater that needed to be light as a cloud and fit into my wardrobe of jeans and high waisted skirts. It needed to have a simple look and then it needed to have AlmaKnit's wildly beautiful saddle shoulder!

The sweater is cropped and slightly oversized. The smart thing is that it is knitted top down so you can adjust the length. The sleeves are 3/4 balloon sleeves and I think that makes it very easy to style. It is light and airy so it can easy fit over a shirt but under a jacket and over the nice summer dress on a chilly evening.

I have knitted in two threads of classical silk mohair from the mohair bar at Stofdepotet. The yardage matches most other silk mohairs out there. I chose to keep both threads in the same colour but I think the simple look of the sweater lends itself nicely to hand-dyed silk mohair where the yarn gets the starring role. I used approximately 140g.

The gauge/tension is 22 stitches x 31 rows per 10 x 10 cm in 4 mm needles, but if you modify my design in AlmaKnit's program you can change the gauge (and design) as you wish.
