Long turtleneck vest in the most beautiful hand-spun yarn.
The vest is named after the Austrian/Swedish physicist Lise Meitner (1878-1968). Meitner worked with nuclear fission. She discovered the radioactive isotope protactinium-231 and was the first female professor of physics in Germany.
The vest is tight fitting. It has 6 cm ease, but with the high elasticity of the yarn it contracts nicely and therefore sits quite tightly. The rib at the armhole is only 2 cm, while the rib in the body is split in two and a full 12 cm long.
I am 168 cm. tall and my Meitner Vest has a back measurement of 60 cm. It is knitted in a super nice mix of merino and silk-mohair, both from unikoyarns on Bornholm, and both in the color purple perfect. The knitting gauge is 20 stitches and 32 rows per 10 x 10 cm on needle 4.
The vest is knitted top down. The pattern is unique and calculated to fit your measurements. The pattern is in English and will be sent as a pdf file to your e-mail.
