Gosset sweater is a simple and very usable basic sweater. It is entirely without frills and clever ideas. It has one raglan stitch, simple middle of the road rib hems, regular sleeves with decreases and nice ease but not too loose. In all sorts of ways it's just very usable.
It is also a nerdy reference to William Sealy Gosset (aka Student) who it is named after. Gosset (using his alias Student) devised some of the most widely used statistical methods.
The sweater has an ease of 12 cm. The back length of the pictured sweater is 72 cm and the model is 189 cm (6' 2") tall.
The gauge is 19 stitches x 26 rows per 10 x 10 cm on 4.5 mm needles. I knitted in Frisenvang Alpaca in the colour middle grey (110-140 m/100g). I used approximately 600g for the pictured sweater.
The sweater is knitted top down. The pattern is unique and calculated to fit your measurements. The pattern is in English and will be sent as a pdf file to your e-mail.
