Simple neckwarmer with slightly shortened saddle shoulders.
The neckwarmer is named after Gertrude B. Elion; biochemist, pharmacologist and recipient of the Nobel Prize in 1988 for her work with rational drug design, a method for the development of new medicinal substances based on a biological target.
The neckwarmer is knitted from the top down. The neckline is shaped by short rows. The edges are knitted in a way that counteracts the rolling tendencies of stockinette stitch.
The gauge is 19 stitches x 28 rows per 10 x 10 cm on 5 mm needles. The yarn is a combination of Arwetta and Tilia from Filcolana. The light blue one is knitted in the colour 340 in both yarns. The mustard one is knitted in the colour 136 in both.
I used approximately 1.5 skeins of each for a medium.
The pattern is unique and calculated to fit your measurements. The pattern is in English and will be sent as a pdf file to your e-mail.
